It all started when…
Since August 1989 I’ve had the joy and privilege of serving First Reformed Church as Senior Pastor. I was born and raised near Elon, NC, graduated from Elon College and Southeastern Baptist Theological Seminary in Wake Forest, NC, and began my ministry as a Pastoral Intern at St. Marks Church in Burlington. My first full-time pastorate was at Oak Level Christian Church in Youngsville, NC, before coming to Landis almost three years later. It was at Southeastern that I met my wife, Dawn, and we were married at First Reformed Church in 1990. We have two beautiful and creative daughters, Lauren and Leslie, who also participate in the ministries here. Our Lord has given me a huge heart for sharing the good news of Jesus Christ and a love for those I share it with, and I’m excited about the future and what God has in store! Away from church, I enjoy yard work, raising chickens, racquetball, great times with friends and family, and traveling…especially down to Disney World on occasion!
